A world grappling with environmental collapse turns to classic children’s fairy tales as a way to make sense of its own story. Witness a world driven by the unexamined pursuit of self-interest, as individual wish fulfillment stifles any possibility of collective action. Ultimately, that bill comes due – as consequences of giant proportions tear “happily ever after” asunder. Those left standing must rise above the temptation of crying “your fault” before the last midnight comes, and instead work together to fight for what it is that they want to pass on to the next generation.
